| Throughout
the year California offers an
amazing list of events.
There are over a dozen polar
dips, dunks and dives along the
coast beginning on January 1
each year. The big launch
of a California year begins with
the Rose Parade in Pasadena and
Rose Bowl football game action.
Sports games
at ball parks, baseball,
football and basketball, plus
pro hockey are happening all the
time. Cities such as San
Francisco, San Diego, Los
Angeles, Oakland and Anaheim
have sports teams that compete
in regular series play.
Special
sporting events (in addition to
race track sports) include
Toyota Grand Prix in Long Beach,
dozens of classic car shows and
the horse racing season at Santa
Anita, Del Mar and other great
locations.
Concerts occur
every day with top acts. Some
special, fun concerts are held
in the country or redwoods where
guests can camp and enjoy
several days of communal style
fun.
Duck derbies,
fishing derbies, grunion runs,
marlin fishing season and other
waterfowl and fish events keep
California in top position as
the anglers capital.
