BRAWLEY - Cattle Call Parade & Rodeo. The Brawley Cattle Call Parade starts at 9:45 a.m. and runs along Main Street. It is a popular event that has 8 divisions and an attendance of over 20,000 people. Past years have had over 140 entries and it gets larger every year. Bleacher seats are available through the Brawley Chamber of Commerce and are located directly in front of the library. Cost is $5 per seat. For more information please call (760) 344-3160. SEAL BEACH -   Red Car Museum is open. Noon to 3 p.m. Visit the past with a look at this historic rail car that used to drive between Los Angeles and Seal Beach daily. Transformed into a museum with videos, pictures and a great collection of memorabilia, it is well worth a stop and look. Open 2nd & 4th Saturdays, the museum provides the most comprehensive look into the history of Seal Beach. Donations are accepted. Location: Electric Avenue near Main St., next to Mary Wilson Library. NAPA - Gifts & Tyme Holiday Faire. Napa Valley Expo at 575 Third Street, Napa, in the Chardonnay Hall. The hours are: Friday: 10:00 - 6:00, Saturday: 10:00 - 6:00, and Sunday: 10:00 - 4:00. The Holiday Faire features over 80 booths of fine crafts, art, and gourmet foods. The Greater Napa Valley Lion’s Club will again be having their home-baked goodies annual sale. CARLSBAD - c  Legoland Tree Lighting. Lego Christmas Tree Lighting is a 30-foot Christmas tree made from LEGO bricks. The world’s largest Lego Christmas tree lights up Legoland California at 5:30 p.m. followed by nightly tree lightings until Dec. 24 at 5 p.m. A selected guest pulls the switch lighting the 30-foot-tall tree built with more than 245,000 DUPLO® bricks. DEL MAR -  Holiday of Lights Drive Thru. Head to the Del Mar Fairgrounds for a spectacular lights show visible by car. This event is one of the most popular holiday displays of the season. Runs nightly through Jan. 3, 2010. Time: Daily at 5:30 p.m. Ends at 10 p.m. Sun-Thurs; 11 p.m. Friday & Saturday. Cost: $14 car of 6 people or less; $19 more than 6; $49 bus.  LOS ANGELES -  Downtown on Ice at Pershing Square. Biggest rink and cheapest price, according to the city of Los Angeles Parks & Rec department, which invites you to come skate amidst the skyscrapers. Time: Monday -Thursday 12 Noon to 10 p.m.; Friday thru Sunday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

SANTA ANA - The Science of Gingerbread. Kids' imaginations can run free as they explore gingerbread, and learn that there's science in every bite!
